Speech of HH Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji - evening - August 17, 2015 - KSHT Frisco, TX USA
Please write and video record your experience. Historical events we will keep always. We will preserve them. In any language, it does not matter. Send them to us here to Rallapalli or Akula Srikant, Swamiji calls him Srikakulam, the reason will be disclosed later.
In Vimeo we will register an account and place them there.
The experiences will come to use later. One should praise Hanuman and Sadguru profusely. One must not praise the son or wife to their face. About wife, praise her only in her absence. Never praise your son also. It is very dangerous.
In front of Sadguru, you must praise Him. Same with ***. In front of Him you must praise Guru. Also in His absence you must praise. More praises He gets, more blessings and boons He gives, both Hanuman and Guru. Then they will concentrate on the devotee. What is the use if you do not show gratitude for the help received from *** or Guru? If you express, you benefit.
You must acknowledge the help you have received from Guru. Otherwise you are not a human being. You must remember your experiences all the time and express and share them with others and praise Guru in His presence. Unless experiences are shared, you will not know or understand what Guru has given to others in different ways. It is a big mystery, this connection, the strong relationship between Guru and devotee. Read Swamiji’s books to develop a stronger devotion towards Guru. It teaches you valuable lessons. It gives you strong faith and a strong mind. You must not hide your experiences, especially when He has saved your life. You must tell your friends. You write or record your experiences as a video. Share with your children so that they will also develop faith. Do not think that they will not understand. Only if you keep telling them, they will begin to know. Worldly experiences they will automatically learn from society and school. About your personal and family experiences and history, you must daily explain to your children. If you do not tell them, who else will tell them? Only if you repeatedly tell your children, it will register in their minds. Each day in a different way. It is your puja. Your 108 names. That way you will also remember. It will stay in your memory. This was a deliberately planned program today. (Several devotees spoke of their experiences with Sadguru Sri Swamiji).
In your own life, about your own prana, life force, in your own family history, what experiences you have had, you must tell your children. That is your mantra. That is your puja. It will tell you if you are making some mistake.
Many feel gratified they also got a chance to speak in front of other devotees, their own life’s miracles with Sadguru.
Some are here, eager to listen to others. Not everyone may be hungry for this information. Just because 80 out of 100 may not be interested, do not withhold the knowledge and information. Do not think these people lack faith, they are very low down persons. But there may be a few who will benefit by listening to these good experiences.
If Swamiji does not select the disinterested persons also, how will they ever benefit? The onlookers wonder sometimes why Swamiji is speaking to the arrogant persons. Swamiji knows whom he can transform and uplift. You may refuse to talk to bad people. You cannot object to Swamiji talking to them either nicely or to scold them.
Someday, they also may change. They may also feel hunger. They may change. Those you think is a wicked fellow, may change. Of 100 people 2 or 10 may get transformed.
About 50,000 persons receive Swamiji’s messages daily. May be 10,000 only will benefit. If even initially I leave out the 40,000, what is their fate? Why does Swamiji seek the bad fellows? You may not need or like him. But Swamiji may like them and change them. You cannot dictate whom Swamiji should like. If you do not like them, that is okay. You cannot object to Swamiji giving good advice to bad people. One day He may reform them. Even in the last minute, a doctor will still struggle to prolong life and to cure the disease. That is a doctor’s pledge. It is unavoidable.
Sadguru is the same. He does not reject bad people. He will hope that He will transform the undesirable persons. You are not Sadguru’s guru to tell Him what He should do. You are also only a student. Sadguru gives more attention to the bad student to make him perform better.
I will give you a small example. I was very bright in Mathematics as a student. B T Srinivas Aiyengar, the national NCC Leader was our headmaster. In the 10th class, Swamiji performed well in Mathematics. He only lost two marks. The next day, the teacher punished Swamiji severely in class. Swamiji took the punishment in the wrong way. The teacher did not punish the bad students but singled him out.
That night he went to the teacher’s home. Satyanarayana, O you have come. Please drink some milk, the teacher invited fondly and offered him affectionate hospitality.
You insulted me in class this morning. Now you show affection. I do not want, Swamiji (Satyanarayana) said.
If I encourage you, by giving you a small insult, tomorrow you will do better. The good person then becomes perfect. A bad student with political influence, will get me transferred if I punish him, he will not improve.
We fine tune the audio system so that in the end it will perform excellently.
In the last minute, with anesthesia, they give you some last minute treatment as a duty. When the effect goes down, you will feel better.
Swamiji scolds those about whom He cares a lot. He ignores those who will not improve even after much effort on the part of Sadguru. He will just observe them from a distance. But a good devotee will not be ignored by Sadguru. Sadguru feels eager that the good devotee must improve.
Jesus lost one good sheep that strayed away. He let it go. Then you feel, why has he allowed it to escape? Why has he not gone after it? For Jesus, losing that good sheep was a big loss, yes. But, he did not wish to lose 99 of 100 sheep, by going after the one lost sheep.
Each has its value.
Sri Guru Datta
