His Holiness Sri Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji of Mysore, one of the greatest spiritual leaders of the present day is an asset to India and the world at large. Sri Swamiji has consecrated 16 Datta Shrines - Shodasha Datta Kshetras representing the sixteen manifestations of Lord Datta in different parts of India.
Jayalakshmipuram, formerly known as Bommeparti has one of the 16 Datta Kshetras. It is the abode of Sri Samskaara Heena Shivaroopa Dattatreya Swami, installed on 15th May, 1989. Sri Swamiji spent his childhood years here. He received spiritual initiation from his mother and Guru, Sri Jayalakshmi Maata when he was 11 years old at the Hanuman Temple adjacent to his home. The temple complex includes Samskaara heena Shivaroopa Dattatreya, Sri Narahareeswara and Sri Jayalakshmi Maata's Brindavana, Sri Rajarajeswari, Ganapathy, Navagrahas, and Ramulamma. A Veda Pathashala also is being run at this Ashram. Since its inception, this temple has been under the direct management of Avadhoota Datta Peetham in Mysore. The monthly expenses have been borne by the Mysore Ashram. Religious and cultural activities, medical camps, Annadana, and Datta Kriya Yoga sessions are conducted regularly at this well equipped center.
