You all must be wondering what Punya has been accrued for your visit to Kashi. There is no certificate for the PuNya. Amrita has no taste. Hence one cannot understand it is Amrita. God is abstract and is accessible only through sincere devotion and Tapas. Guru Seva is also like that. The very company of Guru is the fruit. Many ask what you get from Swamiji. Being with Swamiji is the Prasadam. It is Maha Prasadam. He is gracious enough to keep in his company and speak to you.
You all came here inspite of various commitments at home. You have left the creature comforts of home life and come. Many have come in spite of their severe health conditions. That coming to Kashi itself is the Maha Prasadam. You also get fortified to face the troubles of life.
Many did not even wear mask in spite of some warnings of pollution etc. That resistance power is Shiva Mahima. Most have taken great care of their bodies in their life. So much that the resistance powers have come down. Kashi visit would have shaken their system and their resistance power would have increased. Difficulties in life are like that. You have to develop resistance power to face the difficulties and win over it.
A devotee took great efforts to build a ashrama. He followed Swamiji everywhere and begged permission to build an ashrama. He had great love and devotion for Swamiji. His family also supported him. He had great plans for the ashrama. He realised it all. He passed away recently. I wanted to speak to his wife. When I spoke to her, she was so courageous and asked permission to continue what her husband had started and to have same dedication and devotion. Sorrows come in life. That is life. Neighbors and fiends feed on that sorrow. Death and sorrow is God’s acts. Whatever happens in life we should never abuse God or accuse God. All your breathing and life is all as per God’s calculations. Grieving is natural. But continue to grieve for ever and abusing and accusing society and God is wrong. Yama’s actions are as per your Karma. There is no point in blaming Yama. It is his judgement. Your love and affection for the deceased has no affect on him. Each person’s Karma is individually calculated by Yama. Even Rama and Krishna Avatars has to end. End is assured. How maturely we approach the end is important.
Swamiji has taught you to do charity, to be devotional, to have some peace of mind, shown path to God. What more is needed.
Swamiji has instilled courage to face difficulties in life. What more grace is needed ?
Kashi is Deva Loka. Billions of Devatas reside here. Even during Pralaya, shive will lift Kashi on the tip of his Trishula and protect Kashi and it’s inhabitants. If you stay for three days, all your life’s sins get washed away. Sleeping here for nine nights, assures moksha and end of your continuous cycle of life and death.
