Pujya Swamiji in Ganagapura - Datta Tattva Saptaha & Koti Datta Homa

Parama Pujya Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji and Pujya Sri Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swamiji graced Sri Vishwaroopa Datta Kshetram in sacred town - Ganagapura from 2nd to 9th December 2021. During the seven days, Pujya Sri Swamiji blessed devotees discourse on Sri Datta Tattva and scintillating Bhajan sessions.
Pujya Sri Swamiji was visiting the Ganagapura Ashrama to inaugurate the beautiful prayer hall - named by His Holiness as - Sri Datta Mantapa.
From 1st to 8th December, Ritiwiks conducted Dattatreya Homa on all days in 16 Homa Kundas.
On all days, Pujya Swamiji offered prayers to Marakata Vishwaroopa Dattatreya Swami - the presiding deity of Ganagapura Ashrama. The Murti is installed in a beautiful circular stone temple. Atop the temple is the majestic 18 feet tall monolith Dattatreya Swami.
Datta Kriya Yoga was held every morning in the new prayer hall - Sri Datta Mantapa.
Pujya Swamiji arrived in Ganagapura Ashrama on 2nd afternoon. In the evening, Pujya Swamiji inaugurated Sri Datta Mantapa - a sprawling new prayer hall built by the family of Hyderabad devotee - Sri.D.R.Rao. Pujya Swamiji blessed the donor DR Rao, architect of the hall & devotee - Madhusudan, contractor - Shankaram and others.
Pujya Sri Swamiji commenced the seven day long discourse on Dattatreya - titled - Sri Datta Tattva Saptaha. The discourse was interspersed with Shlokas & Bhajans soul stirringly sung by Pujya Swamiji.
On 3rd December Saturday, Sri Pasumarthy Srinivasa Sarma and troupe from Rajamundry performed Kuchipudi dance ballet based on Pujya Swamiji’s book - Datta Gatha. Impressed by their talented performance, Pujya Swamiji asked them stay back and repeat the dance ballet the next day. Considering it a great blessing, the troupe stayed back and performed Datta Gaatha dance ballet on 4th evening. Pujya Sri Swamiji sat through the hour long program and was very impressed with their talent.
On 5th December morning, Dr.Srivari Chandrashekar, newly appointed secretary for department of science and technology, Government of India came with family and fellow scientists and received Blessings of Pujya Swamiji.
On Monday, 6th December, Pujya Swamiji visited the fabled Nirguna Matha of Datta Avatar, Sri Narasimha Saraswati in Ganagapura. Pujya Swamiji took Darshana of the sacred Padukas and offered prayers in the temple.
Annadanam was done three times a day on all days of the programs. Devotee doctors held medical consultations. A troupe of enthusiastic young devotees held Datta Beeja - seed ball making program and Datta Vana - planting of saplings. Pujya Swamiji blessed the saplings many of which were planted in Ashrama premises and surrounding areas. Sri Bala Swamiji planted saplings on 8th December.Among the team members were Gayatri, Archana, Priyankari, Teja Pratap, Prashanti & Bharath.
On 8th morning Purnahuti of Koti Datta Homa was held in the main Yaga Shala by Sri Swamiji.
Sri Swamiji had carried the Purnahuti basket from Datta Mantapa to Yaga Shala. After the Purnahuti, Sri Swaiji performed Abhisheka with sacred Homa Kalasha water to Marakata Datattreya & Manikya Guru Padukas. Sri Swamiji blessed the large number of Ritwiks who had assembled for the program under the guidance of Sri.Bhaskar Datt of Hyderabad.
In the evening, Sri Bala Swamiji performed Kakadarati in Datta Mantapa as Ashrama bhajan group sang Kakadarati Bhajans.
Pujya Sri Swamiji who had chanted Datta Stava Shlokas and given explanation in the past days, chanted the Jaya Labha Yashah Kama - the Phalashruti shloka and explained the meaning.
Pujya Swamiji’s discourses on Datta Tattva were interspersed with simple teachings for leading a contented, healthy & spiritual life in the modern era.
Thousands of devotees stayed on all seven days in Ganagapura as it is the sacred place mentioned in Guru Charitra book. To stay in the holy town in the same time when Pujya Swamiji stayed was an immense blessing to the thousands who undertook the Vrata.
Many devotees performed Guru Charitra Parayana in Ashrama in the days of Pujya Swamiji’s stay.
Devotees from across India, USA, Switzerland, England, Japan, Trinidad participated in the programs.
Annadanam program was conducted by BDL Devotees. Volunteers from Sri Datta Humane services offreed examplary service on all days.
Pujya Swamiji returned to Mysuru on 9th noon.
