Sri Swamiji in USA, New Jersey, 26 - 28 Jul 2011
Pujya Sri Swamiji arrived in New Jersey on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 from Chicago. Sri Chakra Puja program was organized in the evening at Ukrainian Cultural Center, Somerset, New Jersey. Over 700 devotees from New Jersey and surrounding areas attended the program, despite being a working day. While Sri Chakra Puja was being performed by Sri Swamiji, Sangeeta Seva was rendered by children from Bala Datta. Bala Datta children sang Tripura Bhajans in Carnatic style and other Bhajans of Sri Swamiji. After the Puja, Sri Andhesree from Hyderabad beautifully sang the glories of God, while referring to Sri Swamiji as God incarnate. Bala Datta children performed a skit on a Yaksha story from Kenopanishath. More than three hours long program ended, with Sri Swamiji's discourse and allowing all devotees to come in a line to offer respects. Maha Prasadam was served to all attendees.
On Wednesday evening, Sri Swamiji visited Sri Maha Vallabha Ganapathy temple in Flushing, New York. The temple management and priests received Sri Swamiji as per Vedic traditions and with full temple honors. Archana and Arati was performed to the main deity, Sri Maha Vallabha Ganapati in the presence of Sri Swamiji. After Arati, Sri Swamiji gave discourse to the audience assembled in the temple auditorium. Sri Swamiji fondly remembered His first visit to the temple 35 years ago in this same month. The temple officials -- Dr. Uma Mysoreker, President, Sri Padmanabhan, Manager and others -- took Sri Swamiji on a tour around the temple and showed Sri Swamiji all the development work done in the past 35 years. Dr. Uma Mysoreker urged Sri Swamiji to conduct a Divya Nama Sankeertana program during this trip itself. Sri Swamiji blessed them that He would conduct such a session during His Holiness next trip to USA. Despite a very hectic schedule, Sri Swamiji insisted on visiting the temple to fulfill a promise made to them earlier.
Sri Swamiji departed to Trinidad & Tobago on Friday. Sri Guru Datta
