March 6 – 17, 2022: Events Summary Report

 

Pujya Sri Swamiji started from Mysuru Ashrama on 4th March and flew directly to Dallas via Doha and arrived in Dallas on 5th March 2022. Hundreds of devotees joyously welcomed His Holiness at Dallas Fort Worth airport. 

 

Sun, 6 March 2022 - Parama Pujya Sri Swamiji was welcomed to Karya Siddhi Hanuman Temple in Frisco, TX in a grand ceremony on the evening of March 6th by a huge gathering of eagerly awaiting devotees who filled the hall with their enthusiastic applause at being able to behold Sri Swamiji’s physical Darshan after almost two and half long years. It was a much awaited trip of Sri Swamiji for devotees across the United States and North America. Sri Swamiji took Darshan of deities in the Temple and offered Aarti to the deities. Pujya Swamiji viewed the newly installed Hanuman Charitra Paintings on the wall of the temple area. The 48 very large water color paintings were painted by well known artist & devotee Sri.Somu Gangadhar of Bengaluru. Pujya Swamiji felt the newly adorned paintings offer the story of Hanuman to visiting devotees. 

Kuchipudi Kalashetra students, under the tutelage of Smt. Padma Sonti, offered Natya Seva and Smt. Madhavi Attluri sang Siveti Saureti to welcome Sri Swamiji. The KSHT Trustees offered welcome garland to Sri Swamiji and Dr. Prakash Rao offered the welcome address for Sri Swamiji. The audience blissfully listened to Sri Swamiji’s discourse where He urged everyone to abandon laziness, reminded them that Swamiji is their friend and supports their good deeds and spoke about the beautiful Hanuman Chaitra paintings that surround the Temple main hall. He instructed everyone to write essays about the deeper meaning of the paintings. Sri Swamiji released special merchandise from the Bhajan Babies, a free YouTube channel which features delightful cartoon set to the Sri Swamiji’s bhajans in various languages. Its universal appeal has garnered fans from across the globe with over 9million views already. Devotees were urged to subscribe to the Bhajan Babies channel to receive alerts of new releases.

 

Mon, 7 March 2022 - Pujya Sri Swamiji blessed devotees with Sri Chakra Puja in the evening with Sangeeta Seva offered by Smt. Madhavi Attluri and Chi. Chidatma Chaganti (mridangam). Devotees, Drs. Veeraiah and Lakshmi Perni, had the rare opportunity to participate the Guru Mahotsav special Homa to Sri Ganesh, an inaugural Seva granted by Sri Swamiji during this trip. Devotees will have the opportunity to perform Homa in the divine presence of Sri Swamiji to deities chosen in accordance to the day.  Sri Swamiji showered devotees on blessings during His discourse for their consistent support of the Mysuru Ashrama through the pandemic. Sri Swamiji urged everyone to listen to Guru’s teachings repeatedly with full concentration. Similarly, when doing any tasks, work on it with focus and then begin the next task. Treat God as a dear guest of your family and do puja with full belief that God is present before you. God will bless you exponentially for any Seva you do for God just as Sri Krishna did in protecting Draupadi. 

 

Tue, 8 March 2022 - Pujya Sri Swamiji performed Sri Rama Homa in the evening along with devotees in the yagashala. Sri Swamiji later performed Sri Chakra Puja with Sangeeta Seva offered by Smt. Srujana Aduri, Sri Umamahesh Iyer (violin) and Sri Balu Kurup (mridangam). Sri Swamiji was presented with a special vastram for International Women’s Day. Sri Swamiji wished women on International Women's Day in His discourse and remembered Sri Jayalakshmi Mata and Her teachings. Since it is Mata’s 100th birth anniversary, Swamiji will be celebrating it for an entire year with many events including Seva efforts. Swamiji blessed the Temple Bhajan group with the opportunity to sing bhajans in praise of Mother (“Amma Memu Ni Chetilo Bommalamma” and “Jayalakshmi Talli”) during the program. Swamiji spoke about one’s mother being God and conveyed blessings to raise children well. Swamiji urged everyone to visit Jayalakshmi Puram and Mekedatu and sought blessings on all devotees’ behalf from Sri Jayalakshmi Mataji.

 

Wed, 9 March 2022 - Pujya Sri Swamiji performed Sri Sudarshana Homa in the evening along with devotees in the yagashala. Sri Swamiji performed Sri Chakra Puja and kids sang Sri Ganapathy Kavacham, Sri Dattatreya Kavacham and Sitalaa Devi Stotram during the Puja. Sri Swamiji blessed the kids by personally giving each of them Sri Chakra Puja Prasadam also blessed the teacher, Sri Raveendra Boggaram, and assistants teachers. Later, Sri Swamiji released the book "Hanumadvijayamu" of Telugu poetry about the three forms of Hanuman (Patala, Bhu and Nabhu) at the Mysuru Ashrama.  Smt. Sunitha Cheruvu spoke about the Temple Walkathon for Charity which takes place on Saturday, April 23 and is 21 rounds around the temple. The walkathon supports all the community service efforts to provide scholarships for education, food for children and families in need, and crisis support. All were invited to register. Sri Swamiji released the 2022 t-shirts for the Hanuman Temple Walkathon event. Swamiji blessed devotees with a wonderful discourse about the massive global reach of Swamiji’s Bhagavatam through various television channels and urged devotees to use Swamiji and cast all doubts, questions and worries onto your Guru. Swamiji encouraged everyone to use the opportunity to gain clarity on spiritual questions and put more focus on spirituality over worldly pursuits.

 

Thu, 10 March 2022 - Pujya Sri Swamiji performed Sri Dattatreya Homa in the evening along with devotees’ families in the yagashala. Sri Swamiji performed Sri Chakra Puja with Sangeeta Seva offered by Chi. Viswaroopa Srikar Datta Velavartipati (vocals), ***. Harsha Sankaran (vocals), Ananya Sankaran (vocals), Smt. Gayathri Mullapudi (vocals), Namrata Boggaram (flute). Chi. KailasaDatta Boggaram (mridangam) and ***. Mounica Kaldindi (violin).

 

Sri Swamiji released “Sadguru Tattvam-2” by V.V. Prakasa Rao who also shared the origins of how the book came into being. Sri Vishnu Parcha presented the beautiful and unique “Srimad Bhagavatham” bookset in Telugu encompassing Sri Swamiji’s discourses with meaning for release. Having the heirloom quality bookset in one’s home is a huge blessing. Very lucky devotees won a special signed set of the “Srimad Bhagavatham” when auctioned off by Sri Swamiji. ***. Balatripura Somanchi, ***. Ananya Sankaran, ***. Akshita Mahalakshmi Reddy and ***. Harsha Sankaran shared their essay interpretations of the Hanuman Charitra paintings in the Temple.

 

Fri, 11 March 2022 - Pujya Sri Swamiji performed Sri Devi Homa in the evening Homa in the evening along with devotees’ families in the yagashala. Sri Swamiji performed Sri Chakra Puja with Sangeeta Seva offered by the Temple Satsang group. Sri H.V. Prasad explained that the Hanuman Temple in Frisco has captured beautiful Hanuman Chaitra by Gangadhar Soma in the paintings placed all around the Temple’s main hall . Sindhuja Kodeboyina,Chi. Rajesh Karavadi, Chi. Anish Kolluri, Chi. Anish Karavadi, and concluded with Chi. Shivang Datta’s poem on his beloved Tataji. Swamiji blessed devotees with a discourse urging everyone to use their native language, each person is a traveling temple of God who is everywhere, and practice meditation with devotion and concentration to connect directly with Guru.

 

Sat, 12 March 2022 - In the morning session, Pujya Sri Swamiji performed Sri Chakra Puja, Abhisheka and Puja to Marakata Karya Siddhi Hanuman accompanied by Temple Hanuman Chalisa chanters. Sri Sirish Poodla led the gathering in Datta Kriya Yoga exercises. Sri H.V. Prasad provided a retrospective of all the ways that Sri Swamiji kept devotees engaged through the pandemic and provided various sevas including annadaan for hospitals. Sri Swamiji blessed devotees with a discourse and provided all devotees to come and have Darshana of Pujya Sri Swamji with a darshan line that lasted for over four hours. In the evening, Sri Swamiji performed Sri Hanuman Homa along with devotees’ families in the yagashala.

In the evening, Dallas/Fort Worth musicians offered their Sangeeta Seva with classical Carnatic music compositions. Sri Manish Goel announced that the DYC Canada Maha Kumbhabhisheka of the shrines at Datta Yoga Center, Canada (In Erin town near Toronto)  will take place on Monday, July 4, 2022. Sri Swamiji later blessed devotees with a discourse, where He extolled the importance of singing Bhajans and learning and enjoying Music in everyone’s life.

 

Sun, 13 March 2022 - Pujya Sri Swamiji performed Sri Chakra Puja in the morning. Natya Seva offered by Kuchipudi Kalakshetra students (Chi. Sricharana Datta Middela, ***. Manasa Kollapaneni, ***. Naina Middela, and ***. Netra Middela), ***. Samita Bandaru and ***. Sreeragini Ghantasala. Sangeeta Seva was offered by DYC Houston followed by ***. Chandrika Ganduri and ***. Padmavati Ganduri accompanied by Chidatma Chaganti (mridangam). A curated compilation of Sri Swamiji’s Amrita Bindu articles from Bhakti Mala were released as a Telugu book titled Amritabinduvulu by Sri Baburao. These articles were written directly by Sri Swamiji making this book a wonderful collection of divine wisdom. Dallas devotees were exuberantly happy when Sri Swamiji blessed them with Guru Purnima (July 13, 2022) this year. For Sri Swamiji’s 80th birthday year, every single day will feature a special artistic performance in the Mysuru Ashrama. 

In the evening, Sri Swamiji performed Sri Ganapathy Homa along with devotees in the yagashala. Bhagavad Gita Mahayagna students from Batch 5,6, and 7, from the Frisco and Irving centers in Texas, chanted the Dhyana Shlokas and Gita chapters 1,2 and 12 in the divine presence of Sri Swamiji. Chi Ankit Dahal shared efforts to spread the word of Gita amongst his native Nepali community after fleeing persecution in their homeland. Inspired by Sri Swamiji’s Gita Mahayagna program, he and his family/friends have created Gita teaching centers all across Dallas/Fort Worth for the Nepali community so that they may rediscover their historical roots. Sri Srikanth Challa shared the wonderful news that Sri Swamiji blessed all the students and teachers with Sahasragala Gita Parayana as well as a very special Gita Yagna (Homa) during this summer in Dallas. Sri Swamiji also announced that Sundarakanda parayana should be started, taught by Sri Raveendra Boggaram, at the Hanuman Temple in Frisco. It will serve as a Kavacham and protection for all. 

 

Mon, 14 March 2022 - Pujya Sri Swamiji performed Sri Rudra Homa in the evening with devotees in the yagashala. Sri Swamiji performed Sri Chakra Puja with Sangeeta Seva offered by ***. Sreya Laxmi Kodela and ***. Balatripura Somanchi.

Sri Swamiji blessed over 170 Bhagavad Gita Batch 5 and 6 students from the Frisco center with their completion gold certificates and personal portraits to commemorate this historical moment in their lives.

 

Tue, 15 March 2022 - Pujya Sri Swamiji in Karya Siddhi Hanuman Temple in Frisco, TX, USA.

Pujya Sri Swamiji performed the powerful and special Ashlesha Bali Puja and Sri Subrahmanya Homa in the evening and devotees had the opportunity to participate both along with Sri Swamiji. Sri Swamiji then ascended the mandapam to perform Sri Chakra Puja with Sangeeta Seva offered by Vid. Sri Narasimha Kikkeri (violin) and Vid. Sri Poovaluru Sriji (mridangam). Sri Raveendra Boggaram initiated the audience with one Sundarakanda Shloka in the divine presence of Sri Swamiji and informed everyone that the formal registration information on Sundara Kanda teaching classes will be provided soon.

 

Wed, 16 March 2022 - Pujya Sri Swamiji performed Sri Navagraha Homa in the evening along with devotees had in the yagashala. Later, Sri Swamiji performed Sri Chakra Puja with Sangeeta Seva offered by the Samoohika Gala Samarpana group who sang Sri Swamiji’s bhajans. Bhajan Babies released a new video for Sri Lakshmi Jayanti featuring Sri Swamiji’s bhajan “Jaya Ho Jaya Ho Lakshmi Ma.”, Members of Indian Association of North Texas offered welcome garland to Sri Swamiji.
 Sri Swamiji blessed over 120 Bhagavad Gita Batch 5 and 6 students from the Frisco and Irving centers with their completion gold certificates and personal portraits to commemorate this historical moment in their lives.

 

Thu, 17 March 2022 – On the occasion of Lakshmi Jayanti festival, Pujya Sri Swamiji performed Sri Lakshmi Homa in the evening along with devotees had in the yagashala. Sri Swamiji blessed devotees and Temple priests with a unique Sambhavana opportunity. Sri Swamiji performed Sri Chakra Puja and Maha Lakshmi Puja.  Trinidad and KSHT Satsangh groups offered Sangeeta Seva. Sri Prasanth Dullur and Chi. Kuvalaya Tummala led the audience through Data Kriya Yoga exercises. KSHT IT team requested Swamiji to release the new and redesigned website (https://dallashanuman.org) which will be more nimble and has a special new page on the Hanuman Charitra paintings. Sri Swamiji blessed devotees with a discourse urging us to read SGS Posts daily and discuss it within our families, revise one chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, respect both your adopted nation and honor your birth nation and her traditions actively, and actively do seva even when Swamiji isn’t physically present. Smt. Madhavi Attaluri sang Dolotsava. Everyone present offered Sri Swamiji their profound and heartfelt gratitude for an absolutely divine Dallas Darshan as they eagerly looked forward to Sri Swamiji’s return for Guru Purnima (July 13) and Dwisahasragala Gita Samarpana (August 13) with all batches 1-7 taking part in the Parayana. Before those two milestone events, Sri Swamiji will bless various centers around the world with His Darshan. 

 

On 18th March 2022 morning, Pujya Sri Swamiji left for Trinity Datta Yoga Center in Chicago.
