Sri Swamiji in Andhra Pradesh, Vishakapatnam, 26 Jan 2008

  • 26 Jan 2008 - 26 Jan 2008
  • Vishakapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India

Visakhapatnam is a fast growing city, known for its scenic beauty, heavy industries, naval base and culture.

Devotees have been aspiring for a full fledged Ashrama in this area for decades. Sri Chilukuri Pattabhi Rama Rao, a philanthropist and old devotee Swamiji offered a 3 acre plot between Anakapally and Visakhapatnam for Ashrama Establishment. Sri Swamiji decided to conduct a Homa and Anagha Vratam at this site and the directions were passed to a new set of devotees, en route to Sreekakulam.

In a span of just five days, volunteers from Makavaram, Sabbavaram, Visakha and other places worked day and night to clear the entire area and did a marvelous job to organise the program. After Poornahuti of Shanti Yagna in Pithapuram, Sri Swamiji came to this new Ashrama site and blessed the devotees.

On the occasion, He revealed that His actions would alone galore, but not mere statement. Devotees have too many plans for the development. But, Datta's will alone will persist. Let us all follow His commandments.
