This trip to Machilipatnam was very special.
To describe it more aptly in Sri Swamiji's words in His speech on 6th January 2006:
"After Mysore Ashrama, Machilipatnam has a very special place in my heart. I am very free here. And my speeches will be free flowing here. I have innumerable people serving me for many years around me. People here are understanding and craving for knowledge"
Important features:
1. First Anniversary of Sri Karya Siddhi Anjaneya Temple in Ashrama; On this occasion, Sri Rama Yagam was performed by Sri Rallabhandi Guru Murthy& other Ritwiks.
2. A hall in front of Guru Nilayam was inaugurated. This Hall was built by Sri C Rama Chandra Rao and his children Sri C VIswa Panu and Sri C Ravi Sankar
3. Sri Swamiji called upon devotees not to get frightened to take bath in the sea. (people are scared to go to sea after 2004 Dec 26th devastating Tsunami.) He further declared, as along as Dharmik Activities continue in this Kshetram in Machilipatnam and Manginapudi Datta Rameshwara, Nature would spare this region from its fury. He advised devotees to undertake ablutions in Dwadasha Teerthas of Datta Rameshwaram, which would beget them the merit equivalent to Sapta Sagara Snanam.
4. Sri Bala Swamy was guided to sing Bhajans for the first time in public.
5. Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Rajarajeshwari Annapoorna Vruddhasrama (Old Age Home) was visited after the donation of the adjacent vacant site to Datta Peetham. He approved New Extension plans and exhorted people to contribute for that and also for the maintenance of the Old Age Home. Inmates were advised to spend time in Spiritual Activities and Thought.
6. New Hall in Ashrama would be used as meditation and Kriya Yoga practice.
