Sri Datta Venkateswara Brahmotsavam
All of you are aware that Avadhoota Datta Peethadhipati Jagadguru Parama Pujya Sri Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji has consecrated Sri Datta Venkateswara Temple in Mysore. This is an abode for Lord Venkateswara, who is the Principle Deity in this Kali Yuga and also liberally blesses devotees with peace and prosperity. We are happy to inform you that the Sacred Brahmotsavam Celebrations will be conducted in the Temple on the occasion of Seventh Anniversary from Sunday 21st May to Friday 26th May 2006 (Vaisakha Bahula Navami to Vaisakha Amavasya).
Brahmotsavam
Agama Sastra says that by conducting Brahmotsavam natural calamities can be prevented to some extent and positive results such as prosperity and general welfare for the mankind would be achieved. Hence erudite scholars in the divine Presence of Parama Pujya Swamiji will conduct this sacred Ritual according to the procedure stipulated by the Agama Sastras. It is another great significance that this program coincides with the 64th Birth Day Celebrations of His Holiness Parama Pujya Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji.
Sri Subrahmanya Swamy Pratishtha
Members are aware that Pujya Swamiji has laid the foundation stone for Subrahmanya Swamy temple in the precincts of Sri Datta Venkateswara Temple, in the north east corner of Avadhoota Datta Peetham. By the Sankalpam of the divine, the temple is constructed with Red Stone and is ready for inauguration. His Holiness has decided to consecrate the Temple, at 9 AM Friday, the 26th May 2006 (Kruttika Nakshatram). The inauguration ceremonies will commence at 10 AM on 22nd May 2006. A Subrahmanya Swamy idol made of Rare Marakata Stone would be installed in the temple. This small, yet beautiful temple is the first stone temple in Datta Peetham & branches dedicated to Subrahmanya Swamy. (The other being Dandayudha Pani Temple another form of Subrahmanya in Nadupalani, Tamil Nadu. On the occasion of the Pratishtha of holy temple, Special Homas and Puja would be conducted for 5 days (22 - 26 May). Pujya Swamiji instructs all those devotees, who names begin with the name of Subrahmanya (such as Subba Rao, Subbamma, Subrahmanya Sarma etc.) and with the name of Naga (such as Nageswara, Nagamma, Nagaraj, Nagendra etc.) to participate in the Pratishtha rituals on any of these 5 days and get a Puja/Homa/ Abhishekam to be performed in your name for your benefit and to get rid of problems and also enroll for Nitya Puja.
