At 12 Noon on 24th January 2003, Pujya Swamiji arrived in Chim Dattanatha Kshetram in Sreekakulam at the banks of River Nagavali. Inaugurating the newly constructed Mukha Mandapam in front of Ganapati, Datta, Gayatri, Navagraha Temples, He blessed the donors and engineers. Senior Politician Sri Varam, Former MLC Sri STP Kurmachary were present at the inauguration function. Later speaking in the valedictory function of 3-day Kriya Yoga Camp, He expounded the basic values to be adopted in one’s life and emphasised the inculcation of moral values and discipline. Lack of this, shall have a deleterious effect in our life, He cautioned. Earlier, tribals of the district blew horns, trumpets and conches rhythmically in the welcome function to win the accolades and obtain blessings of His Holiness.
At 6.30 PM, a welcome function was held in the new Mukha Mantapam. Minister for Excise and customs Sri Tammineni Seetaram was the Chief Guest. District Judge Ganesh Rathod, Municipal Chairperson Smt. Pydisetty Jayanti were also present. After Sri Chakra Puja, Pujya Swamiji released a beautiful pamphlet, brochure and Photograph of Swamiji printed by Sri N Lakshmana Rao. The brochure named Datta Kutumbam is compilation of Sri Swamiji’s instructions to devotees depicting the ideal way of life to be adopted by a Datta Family. Sri Swamiji inaugurated the campaign by paying 5 rupees as enrolment fees.
On 25th January, Sri Swamiji performed Sri Chakra Puja after house visits. A Vidwat Sadas was organised to felicitate outstanding scholars in various fileds, such as Veda, Shasta, Literature, Poetry, Agama, Harikatha, Music, Ayurveda and allied subjects, dwelling in the region. More than 75 scholars attended the Sadas. Datta Peetha Bandhu Sri Vemakoti Krishna Yaji, a renowned Agama and Mantra Shasta Vidwan, STP Kurmacharyulu, a longstanding devotee and Ex MLC were important among the invitee scholars from Sreekakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam Districts. Datta Gnana Bodha Sabha, Sreekakulam organised the event on the occasion of Pujya Swamiji’s Shashtipoorti Utsavam. Earlier, Jai Ganesh – a compilation on the information about several famous Ganapati Temples in India. The author, Sri Kasina Venkateswara Rao was blessed. In the evening, Divya Nama Sankeertana was conducted.
On 26th January, Pujya Swamiji visited Siddhi Buddhi Sahita Vinayaka Temple near Ashrama. After house visits, Taila Abhishekam was performed by Pujya Swamiji. Later all the participants were given permission to do Abhishekam to the Utsava Murthy for the first time. After Sri Chakra Puja, Marakata Guru Padukas were given to Sri Kimidi Satyanarayana Naidu, of Regidi – Sreekakulam district for installation in the Shiva Temple in the village.
In the evening, Host committee members were blessed. A special music concert by Sri Giridhar Gamang was a unique feature this evening. Sri Gamang, former Union Minister for 11 years and Chief Minister of Orissa is a long standing devotee of Pujya Swamiji. He played rhythm on a variety of objects including vessels, sur mandal, Dolak and traditional tribal drums. Saileela and Pushpalata Panda sung a few devotional songs. Jaitra Varanasi and Mahesh Bhat accompanied them on violin and Tabla respectively. Later, speaking to the audience, Sri Gamang explained how he started his musical career with the divine blessings of Sri Swamiji in Parvati Puram in 1992 and in Rashtrapati Bhavan concert. All the artists were felicitated by Sri Varada Govindarajulu, senior trustee of Ashrama and P. Jayanti chairperson of the Sreekakulam Municipality. Sri Gamang accompanied Sri Swamiji in Divya Namasankeertana. Singing of Global Peace Song, Jaya Jaya Bhuvi Divi Manava was the highlight of the day. Prior to the commencement of the concert, devotees from 15 villages and several organisations in the town offered Garlands to Sri Swamiji in the Pushpanjali Program.
On 27th January 2003, Pujya Swamiji addressed the Volunteers and directed the boys to participate in the service programs and not to forget the human values our culture stands for. Pujya Swamiji gave a matching grant of Rs. 1 Lakh to the local trust to enable faster completion of the project. Andhavarapu Varaha Narasimham, donor for Gayatri Temple promised to donate for Yaga Sala and Sri Varada Konda Babu promised to construct a clinic in the precincts of Guru Nilayam. Leaving all the devotees in a elated mood, Pujya Swamiji left for Visakhapatnam to board a plane to Chennai.
