Parama Pujya Sri Swamiji commenced the sacred Datta Kshetra Yatra pilgrimage with the visit to the Siddha Raja Naamaka Dattatreya temple in Aluva Town, Cochin, Kerala. It was here that in the late sixties Sri Swamiji commenced his activities to preserve and promote the Sanatana Dharma. This visit fixed just a week before heralded a great promise to the long tour of visiting all temples of Dattatreya, Sri Swamiji has established in His mission to spread the teachings of Dattatreya.
 
Arriving on the 27th (Friday) afternoon, after a seven hour drive from Mysore, Sri Swamiji was accorded a grand and reverential welcome by the Devotees and Trustees. In the evening, a civic reception was held in the Ashrama prayer hall. The Aluva Brahmana and Asthika Sabha presented to His Holiness a Mangala Patram (welcome invocation). The representatives of Kerala Kshetra Kshema Samiti and many organisations like RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh), VHP (Vishwa Hindu Parishad), Nair Service society and many other organisations welcomed Sri Swamiji.
 
On 28th (Saturday) morning, Sri Swamiji visited the house of Sri Padmanabhan, I.P.S. Former Director General of Police, Kerala, Sri Chakra Puja and Pada Puja were performed. Sri Swamiji toured the Vijaya Fertility Clinic there. In the late afternoon, Sri Swamiji returned to Ashrama. In the evening, Sri Chakra Puja for the public was performed in the prayer hall. Sri Swamiji gave a wonderful discourse on the Bhajan - Jyoti Veligindi.
 
On 29th, Sunday, Sri Swamiji performed Pradakshina to the Naga Devatas under the Ashwatta tree in the Ashrama. There after milk Abhishekam was performed to the Karya Siddhi Anjaneya. This small deity in the small shrine has been attracting hundreds of devotees each day. They come and offer their prayers and tie a dried coconut (with full outer shell) near the temple while offering their wishes. Thousands of wish fulfilled people keep coming to Ashrama and participate in the programs.
 
Tailabhishekam was performed to Siddha Raja Naamaka Dattatreya. After the Sri Chakra Puja, Sri Swamiji Blessed Justice Sri Krishna, Hon'ble Chief Justice of Kerala High Court who released the Malayalam language book "Datta Darshanam". This translation to Malayalam from the original Telugu was done by a team of dedicated devotees headed by Maruti, the priest in the Ashrama.
 
In the evening, Sri Swamiji sang wonderful Bhajans and the musically inclined devotees of Kerala enthusiastically participated. Sri Swamiji spoke briefly.  
 
On 30th, Monday, Sri Swamiji visited houses of several devotees who offered Pada Puja. That evening, Sri Chakra Puja in Ashrama was accompanied by much needed rain. The Kerala devotees were praying for relief from the draught like situation that has gripped Kerala this year. Devotees thunderously applauded during the rains.
 
On 1st October, Tuesday, Sri Swamiji inaugurated the new book shop in Ashrama premises and then visited the house of Sri.T.B.Ramasway Iyer in Vyttila. He has been devoted to Pujya Swamiji for over three decades. Now his two sons and their children are active in the mission of Pujya Sri Swamiji. After the Bhiksha in their house Sri Swamiji left for Mettupalyam in Tamil Nadu and blessed the Sharada Poly Towels factory of Shri Vijay Kumar. Staying that night in Coonoor in the Nilgiri Hills in Tamil Nadu (in the house of Sri Coonoor Sait) Sri Swamiji remembered the visits He made to their house in the 70s.
 
Sri Swamiji arrived in Mysore Ashrama on the 2nd October 2002 (Wednesday) at 11AM.
 
While Sri Swamiji camped in Cochin Ashrama, Sri Martanda Varma, Royal Highness of Trivandrum, Sri Muralidharan, Minister Devaswom Board (Religious affairs), Sri K.T.Thomas, Minister of Tourism, Government of Kerala and Sri Sethu Madhavan, Chief of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Kerala called on Pujya Swamiji and sought Blessings.
