The rules of this year’s Bhajan Competitions are as follows :

1. Competitions will be held on 25th and 26th of June
2. Prize distribution will be on 27th June (by Poojya Sri Swamiji)
3. The total number of Bhajans for this year’s competition is 57. (to mark the 57th Birthday)
4. The participants will be divided in to two groups (a) under 16 years and (b) above 16 years.
5. Both groups will have 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes. The under 16 group will have three additional consolation prizes.
6. The participants can refer the Bhajan book during the competition.
7. Each participant should sing one bhajan of his/her liking. In addition to this, they will be required to sing a portion of ‘Guru Katha Gaanam’ and one of the 57 bhajans (list given below) picked by the judges.
8. Purity of Raga and rhythm will be considered while assigning marks. The participants should sing in the same style as in the original cassettes.
9. This competition is open to all.
